“Time is a created thing. To say 'I don't have time,' is like saying, 'I don't want to.” Lao Tzu
We have a choice. We choose how we spend our time. Even if you are required to be somewhere at a specific time for a specific time frame, you still have the ability to decide what you do with those hours. You can either spend those hours effectively or very ineffectively. If you find yourself saying, "I just don't have the time." The reality is probably that you just don't want to. You can prioritize and use things in a different way; therefore, making more time than you thought you had.
“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” Charles Darwin
When we waste time it's because we think we have enough time. We live in a world where we think time will always keep turning. We have bought the idea of the circular clock.
When we realize that we don't necessarily always have time. The day and time will come when we run out of time.
“You can have it all. Just not all at once.” Oprah
This quote shows us the importance of prioritization. We can't say yes to everything, we have to say no to things. Rarely, we explicitly say no. Most of the time when we are saying no to something, we are saying yes to something else.
