Iron sharpens iron only when the two pieces come into contact or into conflict with one another. The iron is not broken, but sharpened by this encounter. In the same way, we can sharpen the people close to us, and allow them to sharpen us at the time.
In this episode, Mackey explains why we need the mindset that we’re going to challenge our family and friends, so that we can sharpen them through competition. We love them, and we want the best for them, so we are willing to be the tough iron that sharpens their own iron.
